The 2017–18 Ranji Trophy is the premier first-class cricket tournament in India, it is the 84th season of the Ranji Trophy.
Ranji Trophy 2017-18 competition scheduled to be held from October 06, 2017 to January 02, 2018 at seventeen venues.
The Ranji Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between teams representing state cricket associations. Twenty-eight teams participate in the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy season; teams divided into four groups, each group consist seven teams.

Ranji Trophy 2017-18 Points table for the League tournament shall be compiled by BCCI, below full information of points provided on different situation.
Ranji Trophy 2016-17 Points Table, Team Standings standings will be updated after match result with net run rate to know which teams are leading to the race of the quarter-finals (playoff).
- 5 points awarded for each match won
- In case of a draw, the team taking the lead will get 3 points, the other 1 point
- 0 points awarded for any match lost.
- In case of a tie, both teams will get 1 point each. If the first innings are not complete in a full match, then the teams will not get any point.
