IPL 2017 Opening Ceremony Date, Start Time, Live Streaming

IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla said IPL 2017 to Have 8 Separate Opening Ceremonies, there are as many as eight opening ceremonies in each of the home grounds, including Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mohali, Mumbai, Pune and Rajkot

He added “It would be unfair to say it was my idea. All the members sat together and decided to have separate opening ceremonies across all the host cities to give the fans an opportunity to witness the opening of the 10th edition of the IPL live.”

“The various segments of the ceremony will be on our culture, the culture and tradition of the host cities as also highlighting the high points from the last nine editions of the tournament. We will also have performances from Bollywood stars, spirit of cricket signing etc” Shukla added.

Former India skippers Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag, as well as VVS Laxman, represented the golden age of Indian batting across the 1990s and the first decade of the new millennium.

Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman will come together at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League’s 10th edition in Hyderabad on April 5 when they are honoured by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

IPL 2017: Shraddha, Tiger, Hrithik to perform at the opening ceremony
Tiger Shroff to perform on his mentor Hrithik Roshan’s films, including “Dhoom Machale”, in a power-packed performance.

The 25-year-old actor will be accompanied by mother Ayesha as he kicks off proceedings at Indore’s Holkar Cricket Stadium for a match between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Shraddha Kapoor will also be performing before the match commences in Kolkata where a grand ceremony has been planned.

Her father Shakti Kapoor who has played cricket at the state-level, also attend the event to cheer his daughter on and support Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders.

Other Stars likely to perform at IPL 10 Opening Ceremony: Kriti Sanon, Malaika Arora and Hrithik Roshan.

Last Year Performer 
Last year’s opening ceremony lasted two hours and 15 minutes with performances by Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez and rapper Honey Singh.

The American dancehall reggae group, Major Lazer, set the stage on fire with singer Shweta Pandit. Cricketer-singer Dwayne Bravo performed a jig on his chartbuster, “Champion.”

Bravo was joined by playback singer Ankit Tewari who sang an Indian version of “Champion”, titled “Hindustan Mein Bade Bade Champion”.
