Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the three-match T20I series against South Africa starting February 12, after sustaining soreness to his right elbow.

Dale Steyn was named in South Africa’s T20I squad to take on England in a three-match series after nearly a year’s absence due to a shoulder injury.

England captain has won the toss and chose to bowl first, words from skippers after toss:

Quinton de Kock (Africa’s Captain): I think it is going to be a good surface; slightly slow, but good. The old man, Steyn, is back and it is great to have him back in this environment. Temba is going to open with me. We all know the value of an all-rounder, so it’s nice to have Pretorius back. Now the build up to the World Cup has begun, so it will be nice to see some guys break down the door and make selection tough for us.

Eoin Morgan (England’s Captain): We’re going to have a bowl first. The wicket looks really good and there’s a good wind blowing across from left to right. We’ll equally have to manage the dimensions and the wind and the wicket as the game goes on. Exciting times in the T20 series with the World Cup just around the corner with the senior players coming in. Buttler, Wood and Stokes come back in, they are the most experienced guys, they’ve played around the world and have had a lot of success. I have never played here before and so it should only be a matter of adjusting to the conditions. I think who bowls into the wind will depend on the batsmen matchups out there.
